Ezras Cholim of Arizona

We started out as Ezras Cholim, an organization dedicated to providing Kosher meals to those in the hospital and rehabilitation facilities. We grew to become the Arizona Kosher Food Pantry. We now provide food to those in the community facing food insecurity.

Our Story
We Nourish so They Flourish

We started with Yecheskel’s dream to provide Kosher food for patients during their hospital stays. Ezras Cholim (Help for the Sick) provided meals to those patients who required them as well as visits from members of the community. The dream grew to incorporate a food pantry and providing Shabbat meals (Tomchei Shabbas) to those in need.

We continue to provide food and meals to those in the community who need it

We provide food to over 2,600 people monthly-we can’t do it without your support. We Nourish so They Flourish.

Bonnie Alva came to the Pantry during one of the hardest times in her life. Out of work, on disability, and recovering from surgery, she found comfort and dignity here. The Pantry not only helped her stock her kitchen but also reminded her she wasn’t alone. “They cared about me as a person,” she said. “It gave me hope while I healed.”

Te’Lana Wilson never imagined needing a food pantry. After losing her corporate job and struggling to find another, her savings ran out and bills piled up. Then she found the Arizona Kosher Food Pantry online—a place filled with warmth, kindness, and dignity. “They never judged me,” she said. “The positive energy here gives me hope—and the food helps me make it through each week.”

ElJhan and his family moved from California to Phoenix seeking a fresh start, but soon found themselves living in their car. With three small children and another on the way, they came to the Pantry hungry and hopeful. We provided hot meals, groceries, and support. Grateful and determined, they remind us why compassion changes lives.
